DMCA Policy & Copyright Compliance

Restreamify respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international copyright frameworks.

Our Position

Restreamify provides infrastructure for streaming media transmission. We do not produce, curate, or control the content transmitted through our infrastructure. Our customers are solely responsible for ensuring they hold all necessary rights to the content they transmit. We respond promptly to valid copyright complaints and terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content transmitted through Restreamify infrastructure infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. To be considered valid, your notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list)
  3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material with sufficient detail to allow us to locate it (specific URLs, channel names, stream identifiers, timestamps)
  4. Your full contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

Where to Submit

Send DMCA notices to our designated agent via:

Email: via our contact page with subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice"

We typically acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and act on valid notices within 48–72 hours. Notices missing required elements will be returned with guidance for resubmission.

Our Response Process

  1. We acknowledge receipt of your notice
  2. We verify the notice contains all required elements
  3. If valid, we promptly disable access to the identified material
  4. We notify the affected customer of the takedown and forward a copy of the notice (with personal information redacted as appropriate)
  5. The customer may submit a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was in error

Counter-Notification

If you are a Restreamify customer whose content has been removed pursuant to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its prior location
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts and will accept service of process from the original notice submitter

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material at our discretion.

Repeat Infringer Policy

We maintain a strict repeat infringer policy. Customer accounts that receive multiple valid DMCA takedown notices over a 12-month period will be reviewed and may be terminated without refund. We track infringement notices per customer and act consistently across all customers.

Misrepresentation Warning

Under section 512(f) of the DMCA, knowingly materially misrepresenting that material is infringing — or that material was removed by mistake — can result in liability for damages, including legal fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, copyright owner, or service provider. Please consider these obligations carefully before submitting a notice or counter-notice.

International Notices

We accept and respond to copyright notices submitted under equivalent frameworks in other jurisdictions (e.g., the EU Copyright Directive, UK CDPA, etc.) using the same procedural requirements outlined above where applicable.

Customer Obligations

All Restreamify customers warrant under our Terms of Service that they hold all necessary rights to the content they transmit. Customers are solely responsible for compliance with copyright law in their jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of their end users. Restreamify is not liable for customer content; customers indemnify Restreamify against copyright claims arising from their use of the Service.
